Regular Track
The standard model of pursuing an individual doctoral project at the UoC’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities is the Regular Track. You can begin your doctoral studies within the Regular Track anytime. For more information on how and when to apply for admission to doctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, please visit the pages of the Central Doctoral Office. Submission of an application is possible at any time. In the application for admission to doctoral studies, the applicant must indicate which model of doctoral studies he or she is applying to (“Regular Track” or “Integrated Track”). Admission to doctoral studies is granted by the doctoral board (“Promotionsausschuss”), which meets twice per semester.
All admitted doctoral students are advised by a primary supervisoron on the academic research their project involves. Information on the conditions for supervision within the Regular Track and on the bilateral supervision agreement supporting the relationship can be found here.
