The a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne

The a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne, formerly funded by the German Universities Excellence Initiative, represents academic training at the highest level. With its broad, interdisciplinary approach, a.r.t.e.s. contributes to an understanding of the processes of knowledge in the entirety of their complexity. It is funded by the European Union and the Stiftung Mercator.

As the graduate school for the entire Facutly of Arts and Humanities, a.r.t.e.s. comprises all graduate-level academic qualifications, from the Master’s level to postdoctoral work. Through its network of global cooperation partners, a.r.t.e.s. offers events and programmes that support the internationalization of academic enquiry and research.
