Short biography

Elisa Magrì, Ph.D is currently an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow hosted by a.r.t.e.s. Before joining a.r.t.e.s., Elisa was a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College Dublin, where she taught on History of Philosophy, Phenomenology and Existentialism, and researched the concept of empathy in the phenomenological tradition. Prior to this, Elisa was awarded a Newman Fellowship for a research project on Edith Stein’s phenomenology of empathy. Elisa received her Ph.D in Philosophy from the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy), and was a visiting student in Heidelberg and Tübingen.
