The a.r.t.e.s Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne is responsible for all doctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Cologne.

Please note: Doctoral examinations at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities are only conducted according to the doctoral regulations of 11.06.2015. The right for examination for the subjects Political Science and Sociology expired on 30.03.2019.
 
From 12 March 2020, the new doctoral regulations of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities will apply to all doctoral candidates admitted from the summer semester 2020.
 Doctoral students who have not yet submitted an application for a doctorate can change to the new regulations upon application. You can find more information here.
